MISSIONS
Our love and caring extend past the walls of the church into the wider community and the world. In addition to supporting disaster relief through UMCOR, services to children and families through Embrace Alabama Kids (formerly United Methodist Children’s Home), and local agencies such as the Pregnancy Resource Center, we are involved in several hands-on outreach ministries.
Free the Girls
We support Free the Girls, an international, non-denominational ministry which works with women fleeing the exploitation of sex trafficking, helping them reintegrate into their communities and become successful, self-sustaining citizens.
Prison ministry
First United Methodist Church of Eufaula, with community helpers, has partnered with the Ventress Correctional Facility in Clayton. We have provided devotional materials, Bibles, personal hygiene products, and a keyboard and hymnals for chapel services.
Eufaula Elementary School
We have just completed our third year of partnering with Eufaula Elementary School. We have supported staff and students with our prayers and with gifts and treats. In addition, volunteers from the church have spent many hours tutoring third and fourth graders who needed help with reading and math.
Wesley College, Tanzania
We support Wesley College, in Mwanza, Tanzania, as it prepares students for roles as church and community leaders and entrepreneurs.
Alabama Lions Mission to Mexico
We provide space for the Lions Mission to sort, clean, process, and store the donated glasses that they will distribute in Mexico during their annual mission trip.
